Our first ever movie alert, Anna and I want to let you know which movies we’re watching and give you a review.
Last night we went with friends to see “Saving Mr. Banks”, a story about how Walt Disney managed to get P.L. Travers, author of “Mary Poppins”, to give him rights to create the beloved movie classic. We both adored the movie, and thought that both Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks performed wonderfully. The music score uses the old songs, and the only drawback is that they will inevitably get stuck in your head. Yes, you will be humming/singing those songs for days afterwards. You may even contemplate flying a kite with the family. On a scale from 1 to 10, this movie definitely deserves an 8 or 9! A must see for all those who loved Mary Poppins growing up.
